Seedling Certificate for Compostability

The Seedling Certificate for Compostability represents that a product has been independently verified to meet the requirements of recognized standards for compostability, such as EN 13432 or AS 4736.

The certification process includes laboratory testing to assess the product’s biodegradability and a review of the product’s manufacturing process to ensure that it complies with the standards of compostability. It is carried out by different independent certification bodies depending on the country, examples of such are DIN CERTCO for Germany and Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA) for New Zealand and Australia.
